Home Sweet Home

This is a photo of the "private community" that Lauren and I live in. There is no gate or fence or highly-trained security guards, so we aren't too sure what makes the community private, but we like it still the same.
In this photo, our building is at the far end, directly above the letter "N" on the sign. If you wave to us, we will wave back. Posted by Picasa

Walking in a Wiener Wonderland

I've been getting some slack from northern Illinois to update my blog. It's not that I'm neglecting it or even that we're too busy: It's just that there ain't too much happinin' down here. But my public calls and I will do my best...

You may be thinking, "Kyle, your drawing skills have come a long way from that turkey." Actually, it's not a drawing at all. It's a photo from our new digital camera! Lauren, who is an amazing wife, woke up at 3:30AM on "Black Friday" to fight with all of the crazy locals at Wal*Mart to save $10.00 on a camera as my Christmas gift. How brave and sweet she is. As for Spot, he was too destracted by the hotdog to smile for the camera.

The sweet and brave Lauren will be making a stop in Michigan this holiday season. She will be flying into Detroit Metro on Sunday the 18th and returning to Hope Mills with Delma and Ron, via automobile, just before Christmas.

We hope that this Christmas preparation period is going well for everyone. We miss all ya'll and we'll do our best to stay diligent in our blog postings. With love, k&l
