I got my hair cut yesterday. It was so nice to go to the salon by myself. Kyle stayed at home with Aaron where he was (in theory) taking his long afternoon nap. I am happy to have a shorter style. I always thought I liked it long so that I could do different things with it. At this point in my life though, I don't need to wear it in braids, or curls, or down, or swept up in a chignon- I just want it to look nice everyday. I'm hoping it will still look good once I start doing it on my own. You know it always looks best straight from the salon.
Aaron usually plays in his Jumperoo in the morning while I'm getting my coffee and cereal. He is starting to realize that he can turn around by himself and play with the toys all around him. I like the idea that he has all those toys that are fixed in one place, so I don't have to pick them up.As I've said before, Aaron is not a fan of riding in the car. Much to the surprise of many mothers, it would be my very last choice to try to get him to fall asleep. In this picture, he had just finished eating and wasn't strapped in because we were just waiting in a parking lot, so he was in a pretty calm mood.
Aaron and I met Kristin on Fort Bragg to see her husband jump out of an airplane. He's in the 82nd Airborn Division of the Army. It was really cool to watch how fast the soldiers come out of the planes- just like little black dots in the sky one after another.
