Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! I hope your holiday festivities went well. Lauren and I had a busy, yet enjoyable Christmas and New Year. It started with Lauren taking a trip back to the "Great White North." She got to spend four days in Michigan visiting our families, then she came back down with Delma and Ron, who stayed for Christmas. On Christmas Eve morning, Ron and I went golfing with some of my co-workers. We didn't win the scramble, but we had a good time and it turned into a wonderful, sunny and warm day. Santa came that night and left many wonderful gifts (see photo) and Christmas day was spent opening gifts, watching the Pistons and eating. A good day by any measure. Delma and Ron left for Myrtle Beach, SC on the 26th, and Lauren and I drove down there for the day on the 27th. If you're ever looking for a place to shop and eat, you won't be disappointed at Myrtle Beach. The photo is of Lauren and I in Myrtle Beach at a large shopping/eating complex call Broadway at the Beach.
New Year's Eve was spent at the Cerro's. We watched the countdown on TV and shot off fireworks (mutually exclusive events). That too was a fine day. Now Lauren and I are both back at work and waiting to see what 2006 holds for us. We had a nice holiday season, but of course missed all of you a lot. You were in our thoughts, but then again you usually are. We wish you all a happy '06 and pray the God's blessings touch all of our friends and family.
