My 30th out West!

I made it to 30! I had a great birthday. A big thank you to my wonderful wife and awesome brother for such an amazing birthday. For my birthday, I got to take a five day trip out west to visit my brother. We spent a night in Las Vegas, a day hiking in Zion National Park (Utah) and a few days at the Grand Canyon where my brother, Dave, works and lives. By chance my Aunt Denise and Uncle Mark were out west at the same time, with their friend Jo. We got to meet with them in Vegas and watched the sun rise over the Grand Canyon with them on my birthday. What a treat! It was such a great trip, it is hard to describe. It was great to spend my birthday with you Dave, thanks again.

Don't Forget Us!

Spot and Lilly haven't met Tucker yet, but they read the blog so they know what's up. They wanted me to publish these photos of them so that you all wouldn't forget that they're cute too. Spot was upset because Lauren and I won't let him have a MySpace page.

The Dog Days of Summer

Everyone, this it tucker. Tucker, this is everyone. Tucker might be our new dog...might be. Lauren's friend Kristen found this cute dog in the parking lot of a grocery store. Some kids where chasing him with sticks. Lauren and I agreed to watch the dog while we do an owner hunt. Just in case we decide to keep him, I took him to the vet today to have him checked out and get his shots. He is a very sweet dog! He isn't hyper and doesn't bark. He's very happy when people come around and likes to play. Once the tests come back tomorrow, we will take him into the house to introduce him to the cats. I think he'll be okay with them, but I know they won't be thrilled with him. I'll keep you updated.

Still Hot!

The heat won't stop. It looks like it will be close to 100 all week again.

Lauren heads back to school this week. The kids won't be in for another week. Vacation is officially closed.

July 2007

We had a great trip to MI at the beginning of this month. It was wonderful to see so many friends and family! Congratulations to Shawna and John and thanks to all of our hosts on our multi-city tour of Michigan.

Summer Vacation

Raise Your Hand...

...if you knew Kyle was this handy. This was our New Year's Eve project. Lauren and I spent the

whole afternoon building the shelves. We love our new storage. We have wanted to do this for awhile. It's nice to 1. have storage space. 2. Build a home project that turned out just as planned.

The work bench I built the next afternoon on New Year's Day. It's stuff like this that helps to make our house feel like our home.

The third picture is of the wet Christmas we had here.
