Snow Day!

On Tuesday, the 20th of January, we got snow in North Carolina! This is the most snow that we have gotten down here in 3 years. The whole state shut down! School was canceled for two days. The temperature was back in the mid 50's by Friday, so all of the snow is gone. It was fun while it lasted.

Tucker, and his friend Lyka, loved the snow! As you can see, she is the dominant one in the relationship.

Aaron Monroe

Aaron started eating cereal last week. We are feeding him ground oatmeal once a day and he is loving it. He definitely knew what to do right away, so we feel that it was the right time for him.

He was in a fussy mood on this day and finally settled down to watch me wash dishes. That's one thing I've learned about motherhood- sometimes I just have to keep trying different things, and the last thing I would expect to work, works.

Bath time! I would say he's filled out quite nicely. He is about 5 and 1/2 months old now.

Cousins

Currently two, soon to be three. Let me clarify... Danielle is pregnant!! Elliot will be a big brother in September. We are so happy and excited for them. The boys got matching pajamas for Christmas from our Aunt Joan, so here they are posing. I couldn't decide which one I liked best, so I put them all up to see.

Christmas 2008

We visited Michigan over the holidays and all the cold weather that came with it. The longer I'm away, the less appealing snow and ice are to me. If I want to see it, all I have to do is google search for a nice white winter wonderland from the comforts of my warm home. More power to ya'll!
This is my friend Kristen's baby, Isabelle, and Aaron meeting for the first time. I just love to see babies interacting. It was their first date, so it's still too early to tell if they have chemistry.

Eureka!

I finally figured out how to get Aaron's perpetual diaper rash to go away...stop eating dairy! It only took me 4 and 1/2 months to come to this realization. After trying nearly every cream and remedy possible, I decided it was time to try the one factor I'd hoped wouldn't make a difference. Unfortunately for me, and fortunately for Aaron, it did. So, at least that problem is solved.

Kyle took Aaron and Tucker for a walk in our neighborhood. This front pack carrier is good for Kyle because it's a little more masculine than my Maya Wrap. I like to wear it too sometimes.

Yes, we still have our two cats who drive us crazy most days. We had a rare cute moment today where they weren't meowing really loud or scratching at the carpet or messing with the dog. Oh well, we've probably only got fifteen more precious years with them.
